Planning Transportation for Weddings

Wedding transportation is about more than getting from point A to point B. It is about timing, photography, guest experience, and peace of mind on one of the most important days of your life. Here is how to plan it right.

Start with the Schedule

List every location and transition: getting ready, ceremony, photo locations, reception, and hotel drop-offs. Estimate how long each transition takes, then add fifteen minutes of buffer. Your transportation provider needs this timeline to assign the right number of vehicles and drivers.

Book the Bridal Vehicle First

The bride's transportation sets the tone. A classic stretch limousine, a vintage car, or a luxury sedan with a white ribbon are traditional choices. Book this vehicle first, as specialty vehicles have limited availability, especially during peak wedding season.

Plan Guest Transportation

Assign a Transportation Point Person

On the wedding day, the couple should not be fielding calls from drivers. Assign a bridesmaid, groomsman, or wedding planner to manage transportation logistics. Give them the contact information for every driver and a copy of the full schedule.

Confirm Everything One Week Before

Call your transportation provider to reconfirm all bookings, pickup times, addresses, and special requests. Verify the vehicle types and decorations. This is your last chance to catch errors before the wedding day.
